Sharp rock; sharp end...

Grayson leading a 10b at the end of a hot, tiring day at Smith Rock. This was Grayson's second lead outside, after tackling Smith head on with an 11c. Nice work Gray!

Uber!

A blast from the past here... dug this one up from 2002.

Bob on Uber-Fleusig (v5) at Hawk's Nest Dam outside of Fayetteville, WV.

This climb is maddening to most. It's a single move off of two dingy edges to a sloping top from a butt-dragging start. It's easy for the tall folks and nigh impossible for the shorties.

On top of that, water levels can be a minor nuisance. On occasion, the local power authority opens the dams to let water out and flood the lower river--exactly where this boulder field lies.

"You've got it all wrong..."

The boys start wrangling over who's got the best foot.

This was actually a very devilish v3 in the Bum Boy area. If I'm not mistaken this is Hamburger or it's across from Hamburger.

Anyways, really nice and balancey climb.

Good Snatch!

Charles jabbing at the best pocket in the world. Let's hope he sinks it!

An unforgettable, yet forgotten named, v4 down at the lowest end of the Ten Pins Area of Horse Pens.

Genesis

Mark "nailing" the major slot on Genesis, a classic Horse Pens "v2". Uber cool, a must do.
