Everybody stare! Not a single person is worried that Vicky will fall here.... After all, it's only a v3.  Posted by Picasa

Show off.... Alex showing his pearly whites for the camera.  Posted by Picasa

Lizzie T leading her first outdoor route at Rumney NH. I dunno what this route was named, but I believe it was a balancy 5.8/5.9? Anyways, both Ellen and Lizzie danced their way up this thing like it was nothing! bob Posted by Picasa

Ellen Goodall at the starting section of "Biscuit". After a few half-hearted attempts, Ellen got her game together and sent this v2/3 without much of a sweat.  Posted by Picasa

Man that crimp is small! Johnathan Haase open-handing the small, subtle crimps of "Biscuit". This climb was great--in a small way this crimp reminded me of Seabiscuit because it was a great climb to try and try and try until you could manage it.  Posted by Picasa

Darren "the beast" Benton getting fired up to fire the crux of "The Caged". That little chalked spot up and to the right is a two hand match before bumping out to the corner and clipping. Darren fell at the lip but finally sent it clean. Nice! Posted by Picasa

Sammy Meyrowitz starting up "The Caged," the only non-Star Wars named climb at the Darth Vader Wall. Darren sent the route after several, close attempts. I successfully climbed the route without much ado but I had to take in order to clean the route! A fun, beautiful 5.12d with only one really hard move and it's right at the end.  Posted by Picasa

Johnathan Haase gearing up for a lead climb of "Obi-Wan-Ryobi," a 5.9+ at Rumney's Darth Vader Wall. A fun, juggy roof section leads into a delicate slab with specific sidepulls and highsteps. Good climb Johnathan--a nice first outdoor lead!  Posted by Picasa

You gotta be a "Masochist!" This boulder problem proved more trouble than it was worth. The local bouldering beta claims that the sitdown to this is a v6 and the stand up is a v4. Darren and I both attempted the sitdown at the end of the day and learned why this problem is for Masochists only! Vicky Arthur here starting a long, hateful relationship with this local classic... Posted by Picasa

Go Red Sox! Lizzie T making the long reach on the face of "Biscuit". Lots of balancy steps help you make the long reaches to delicate crimpers! Good send Lizzie! Posted by Picasa

Hope you ate your Wheaties! Alex searching long and hard for the next thin crimp on Smuggler's "Biscuit," another fine boulder problem. I personally liked this one the best, a great v2/3 that's definitely worth the trip. Posted by Picasa

Johnathan Haase starting up "General Patton Arete" at Smuggler's Notch. A very fun problem involving some very nice footwork and solid crimping skills! Good send J! Posted by Picasa

Sierra Carroll cutting loose for one scary moment on Smuggler's "General Patton Arete," the finest v3 we found. The crimps were sharp but spectacular footwork saved those who abhor the sharp, finger-biting crimpers! Posted by Picasa

Vicky Arthur ROCKIN' on "Bullwinkle Craters." Unfortunately, Vicky got on this route about 2 minutes too late and the rain slicked up the moose's nose.  Posted by Picasa

"What the?!?!" Alex exclaims. "Bullwinkle Craters" at Rumney NH. A very wet and green 5.11a/b. Darren sent the route with little trouble but Alex and Vicky got on it after the rain started.  Posted by Picasa
